We're famous!

Well, not really. But we're in Parents magazine this month http://www.parents.com/toddlers-preschoolers/health/other-issues/daughter-with-down-syndrome-exceeds-expectations/

I love this picture of Johanna--and the fact that the photo editor so artfully cropped out Jamie's bald spot!

We're also excited that the magazine showcases our entire family--including Ivry dog (you'll have to pick up an actual print copy, she didn't make it into the on line version).

In all seriousness, I'm so grateful to be part of the two part series Parents ran about raising a child with Down Syndrome. It's amazing to see kids with disabilities featured in mainstream magazines. It just makes me realize how far we've come.

And when I say we, I guess I mean both society (in its acceptance of disabilities) and our own little family.
